Yes, the unit can be connected via USB and individual videos may be viewed. However, to take advantage of the full functionality of the unit, we highly suggest the ADS software package.

Videos are in QuickTime format (.mov) and can be viewed in Windows Media Player.

 

4. The Digital Video Witness unit won't turn on and just displays a red LED light. What should I do?

Use the 'reset' button.

Videos are recorded in True 1080P HD.

Yes, Digital Video Witness has an HDMI output.

With 32 GB of memory, you can record up to 8 hours at 1080p; 16 hrs at 1280x720p; 20 hrs at 848x480 (60FPS); or 22 hrs at 848x480 (30FPS).

On standby, Digital Video Witness has a battery life of 1 week. The unit is normally shut off when not needed.

Yes. Digital Video Witness has 5m (15 feet) illumination; a test subject can be seen in pitch black darkness at 5m (15 ft). The night vision setting is configurable (on, off).
