DVW Integrates with CoVi
SAY Security Group USA is pleased to announce our integration with CoVi Technologies. Our DVW line can now control CoVi EVQ-1000 via RS-485.

The award winning EVQ-1000 is an NTSC/PAL analog video surveillance camera based on a 1280x720 pixel High Definition image sensor. Utilizing CoVi’s proprietary Digital Image Processing technologies, the camera delivers outstanding image resolution, dynamic range and low light capabilities. Advanced viewing capabilities include dual video outputs, MultiView™ and RS-485 based Electronic PTZ.  Leveraging existing co-axial cable infrastructures, the EVQ-1000 requires no special monitors. Its unique feature set provides highly cost effective video surveillance, making the EVQ-1000 an ideal choice for security professionals working within a traditional analog infrastructure.

Unfortunately, decoding and displaying HDTV signals as HDTV is not realistic today. Most switchers and digital video recorders (DVRs) are designed for conventional analog signals and do not yet have the ability to record HD. While HDTV monitors are available, they tend to be costly.

To overcome this problem, CoVi converts HD camera signals to analog signals. While running HD camera signals into conventional monitoring systems sacrifices some resolution, the video is still sharper than that produced by standard-definition cameras.
