For the XR4/XR8 series of DVRs, Auto Download will listen for DVRs on port 8000.
For the X1/X3/X11 series of DVRs, Auto Download will listen for DVRs on port 5559.
If anyone is ever having problems with DVRs connecting to Auto Download, please check to make sure that the DVRs are set to connect to the correct IP address and port.
Windows allows you to check the current connections on a computer by opening a command prompt (Start>Run>cmd) and typing "netstat -an | find "5559"". (Replace 5559 with whatever port you're looking for.) If you see the DVR's IP address connected to the appropriate port, then you know that the DVR is successfully contacting the Auto Download server.
