Mobile Witness Adds HD Stop Arm Camera, More Features to Student Transportation Monitoring Solutions
High-res camera, mobile student tracking app, and 4G live streaming video increase versatility for student tracking and safety initiatives
Ada, OH: April 9, 2013 — Mobile Witness™, an international provider of DVR and surveillance solutions, today announced key additions to their monitoring solutions for school buses. The new high-definition stop arm camera provides additional video footage to improve safety around the bus and a potential deterrent to keep students safe from stop arm violators. With 4x the resolution of analog cameras, the HD stop arm camera can easily identify the plate numbers of violators, and the video footage can be used in prosecution.
In addition, the new tablet and smartphone app for the Student Accountability System™ (SAS) enables drivers and administrators to view real-time ridership data and take attendance, allowing them to determine who is on which bus in case of an emergency, locate a missing student, generate ridership reports, eliminate paper logs, and avoid students being left on a bus at the end of a run. And now, live streaming video over 4G makes it easier for administrators to view events on school buses in real time so they can respond to student or driver issues quickly.
